Şirince Horse Safari — vineyard trail riding
Calm horses along Şirince's stone village paths and vineyard hillsides. Two-hour ride, beginner-friendly, photo-perfect scenery.
Şirince is the hillside vineyard village near Selçuk, famous for its fruit wines, narrow stone lanes and photogenic village houses. The hills around it are perfect for horseback — gentle slopes, oak forest and vineyard rows.
Our Şirince horse safari uses the village trails — a 2-hour out-and-back loop with a viewpoint stop where you can see the Aegean in one direction and the Dilek Peninsula mountains in the other. Horses are calm and well-trained; we get a lot of first-time riders on this tour. Suitable from age 7.
The combo most people do: arrive in Şirince mid-morning, take the horse ride 10:00–12:00, walk down into the village for lunch + wine tasting (5–6 small shops do free tasting), browse the local-craft shops, head back to Kuşadası or Selçuk by 16:00.
Free pickup from Selçuk hotels. From Kuşadası there's a €30 round-trip transfer or you can drive yourself (45 min). Riding clothes provided if you don't have boots/long pants.
Frequently asked
I've never been on a horse — is this OK for me?
Yes. Our horses are chosen for first-time riders. Guide rides alongside, gives basic instructions, and you walk only — no trotting unless you ask.
Is wine tasting included?
No — but tasting at the village shops is free. You'll do that after the ride if you want. Lunch in Şirince is also worth it — book one of the small restaurants.
How is the weather?
Mountain village — cooler than the coast. May-Oct is the best window. July-Aug afternoon rides can be hot; book morning then.
