Norwegian Viva is NCL's 2023-built Prima-class ship — 3,219 passengers, freestyle dining, freestyle shore time. Her Eastern Mediterranean calls at Kuşadası usually run 08:00 to 18:00, giving ample time for any of our four safaris.
Norwegian guests strongly prefer independent shore time over the ship's bus tours — you get a smaller group (typically 4-8 people on quad/buggy convoys), an English-speaking driver who actually knows the trails, and a price 30-40% below NCL's own excursion desk for the comparable Ephesus jeep day.
We meet you at the Kuşadası Cruise Port main gate. American and Canadian guests have priority for our English-language safety briefing. If your Cruise Critic roll call wants to organize a group, we can dedicate one vehicle to your party (4+ guests).
For jeep safari (full-day, includes lunch and Long Beach Club): you need 9+ hours ashore — confirm with us when booking. For 7-9 hour windows, quad or buggy is the right pick.

Is the jeep safari worth it for 1 day in Kuşadası?
If you have 9+ hours ashore and you're not doing Ephesus separately, yes. The full-day jeep includes Zeus Cave, Kursunlu Monastery, Long Beach Club lunch + sea break, and a famous water fight. American guests rank it as their highlight day.
